There isn't much to report other than the fact that Jaffe is aware of the problems people are having with his game, and he is appreciative of the feedback, even if it is negative. He's working with Sony to come up with a solution.
The reason this is interesting, is because we rarely see developers creating such a personal relationship with their fans. Typically communication of this sort is done through press release e-mails, but Jaffe sits down on his computer, pauses to belch, and let's everyone know that he is getting on the phone with Sony soon.

Gotta love Jaffe's twitter posts, he'll attach to a subject and clog up your feed for about twenty tweets. I'm not complaining about developers interacting with customers though.
I would also like to say that it really isn't anyone's fault, there's virtually no way certain bugs can be addressed before launch. Even if you QA test the crap out of it for 20,000 hours, the first 20,000 people who buy the game will beat you in one hour. Sometimes these things are just unavoidable.
by Kratos276 Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 08:40 PM ha ha I noticed that too, but the guy can be really cool in some posts and replies. Glad he's usually as honest as someone could be, nice change of pace and is usually funny when it comes from him.by Boyzby the Honorable Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 08:
by genericink Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 09:10 PM Publicity stunt? He's had a youtube channel for like 6 years now and has constantly been uploading videos. Maybe he truly wants to inform the community on this game. Why GI put the video on their player rather than linking his actual youtube channel I dont know.by Stitch Jones Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 04:59 AM Yes he is, we are some of the few that see him for what he is.by Aaron Quixote Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 08:
Does anyone know if Twisted Metal supports split-screen death match or some equivalent? I'm picking this up tomorrow and my cousins want to come by and throw down. If not, there's always Mortal Kombat :
by Kratos276 Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 08:38 PM I think it has at least 2 player split screen. Not sure about any more than thatby magiccoffeepot Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 08:58 PM I believe there is up to 4 player split screen which you can also take online.by Aeolus Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 09:38 PM It's up to 4 player split screen as well as online.by Aaron Quixote Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 01:59 AM @Aeolus:Awesome thanks. So psyched for this game!by Hafazeh Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 08:
how the *** does this happen to a person who is quoted for saying something along the line of, "developers shouldn't make patches, they should get it right the first time." shame.
by genericink Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 09:11 PM *** happens. And he did say it was embarrassing.by Louis Marcos Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 12:27 AM Hey, you try making a game. Its not a day in the park, game development and testing means 80 hour or more work weeks to squash the bugs, and its not like he's proud it came out with a few kinks.by w00kie13 Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 08:
Jaffe is unlike any other. It's great that he's got such a personal relationship with fans. However, these online issues with TW are ridiculous. I just can't see how you release a game with the connection issues being this bad.
Really awesome he made a personal video about the game. Not enough developers show their face and make a personality for themselves.
Such a fun, fun game. I wasn't sure if car combat would still hold up, and man does it ever. I wasn't prepared for how much fun I was going to have. Everything just felt so polished, so smooth. The cars are super easy to control, so you can evenly split your focus between driving and shooting.
After 5 minutes I felt like an expert, lol. THAT'S great game design. Can't wait to play some more. Funny thing is, I never liked Twisted Metal. But now that I am loving this new one I am figuring that I have to give a different franchise that I never liked a second chance as well, so I am going to be downloading Alan Wake: American Nightmare when it comes out (hated the first) and give that franchise a second chance too.
hes a really cool guy. i wish i knew him in real life that would beso cool. to just make a personal video for fans' problems is just awesome. i dont have the game, but i might get it soon.
hes a really cool guy. i wish i knew him in real life that would be so cool. to just make a personal video for fans' problems is just awesome. but the problems sound really bad (i dont have the game right now) so I hope he gets it fixed. its cool how he actually cares about the players and not just money like activision.
It's Nice To See A Developer Who Cares About The People Who Buys His Game's.The Fact That He Took Some Of His Own Time To Actually Drop Some Details On The Situation Has Earned Him My Respect.

What problems are they having? I don't play online due to horrible internet. Gotta respect a man that takes responsibility and tries to fix their mistake.
by The Voice of Reason Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 03:02 PM I'm not having nearly as many problems as launch day, but most of the games I tried to join would come up as a network error and not let me join. The game is still extremely fun, though, and I highly recommend it if you're a fan of the older games in the series. If you do get it, good luck with a story playthrough on twisted difficulty if you try it.by alan Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11:
its a great game loved every minute of it... until i tried to get online on got on to the pick game screen just fine but there were many problems of actually getting on a game (which took forever since it was like each game lost connection or had already started) or a "host" not starting a game. these were my only problems with the multiplayer i had.
