Getting this out of the way: I like her hair. It makes total sense that Alicia would change her hair to go along with her liberation. There's been a lot of talk about it since the new promos came out over the summer, but it's here, it's great, let's move on.

We saw Alicia growing last year, getting a bit more edge, sort of sampling her desires. This year? She's incredible. It's the character viewers have wanted her to be. Watching the character growth over the last two years makes her all the more special now. The way Alicia handled the judge and showed no extra attention to Cary during the whole case really drove the point home.

If you were having any doubts what kind of feel 'The Good Wife' would have this season, just take a glimpse at those visually stunning opening credits.

As hot as the scenes were, it's hard to be 100 percent behind a Will and Alicia pairing. Yes, she's experiencing a renaissance she probably never had as a twenty-something, but the writers need to make sure Alicia continues to find herself as a person. Discovering oneself with the help of another -- Will -- is great, but other interesting character moments can be found as Alicia really gets into her own groove.

The case of the week: A Jewish student is found murdered and Lockhart/Gardner defend the accused, a Muslim student. The firm ultimately -- even after a series of quick missteps by Alicia -- find out it was the accused student's roommate. He murdered the young man after their secret relationship had gone awry.

Kalinda and Sophia (Kelli Giddish, who was much more entertaining in this episode than she was in the Season 2 finale) got to the bottom of things and I'm convinced I'd watch a spin-off about the two ... as long as the suggested pooch was with them while they solved crimes.

For two years Kalinda and Alicia were a pretty dynamic duo, but watching their iciness and interaction now is fascinating. I was happy the episode didn't harp too much on that and focused more on Alicia and the new status quo. Last season was Kalinda's year, now it's time to see how all of what went down affected the rest of the firm.

Not a lot of Diane action, except the fact she's trying to drive all the drama out of the firm. Asking Kalinda and Alicia to work through their issues and Will to go easy on his new secret lover -- where's the fun in that, Diane!?

The plots of the episode even the lead character of 'Unforgettable' would forget: Eli did his typical hamming it up shtick after gaining, losing and then getting more money from a client and Grace got a new tutor.

Loved the body language change in Alicia when she saw Peter walk in. Looking forward to how the dynamic in court will be when Alicia goes up against Peter. He sure knew how to burst her confidence bubble.

I still don't understand how she can fling the words "you slept with my best friend" when he slept with her BEFORE she knew Alicia, and in fact I don't think she willingly did it! Peter kinda forced it in order to help Kalinda get out of an ugly situation. Alicia needs to be mad at Peter, but not Kalinda, and why was it ok to know he slept with a lot of prostitutes, but then when it was someone she has since met, it's not ok to forgive? I don't like that factor. Kalinda needs to slap her up side of the head and make her listen to her story, which I hope is coming up soon! Otherwide good show!

Amazing, amazing episode. I love confident Alicia, but she probably needs to dial it back a notch. Even though he was essentially covering for their relationship, Will was right when he said shes a 3rd year associate who treats he and Diane like equals. Diane definitely knows something is up and I CANT WAIT to see what she does when she figures it out. I really enjoyed the easy banter between Eli and Alicia, it was one of my favorite things last season and I can't wait for even more of it. Grace's new tutor was extremely weird...not quite sure where they're going with this but hopefully it will make me hate Grace less than her last storyline (big goals TGW, you definitely have your work cut out for you there).

I loved Alicia last night she like Grace said she looked happier. Maybe b/c she is starting this new secret relationship or b/c she is finally free of Peter. It will be exciting to them them go head to head. Peter was so smug I hope she wipes the floor with him and Cary who seems to be Peter lap dog.

Eli is great when on the brink of desparate and at the end he kind of looked like Peter and Alicia's third child he really cares for both of them he wasn't just trying to protect Peter's candicy.

Yes, technically Alicia is also having an extramarital affair, just like Peter. But the differences lie in that Alicia has let Peter know she is separating from him and she is having sex with the one she is truly in love with. Peter, on the other hand, was having sex with random colleagues and prostitutes.
