Taylor Swift has participated in the soundtrack and has joined with one of her (and our) favorite bands from 2011: The Civil Wars. Take a listen to the song here and let us know what you think!
Love the song. It is a great collaboration between Taylor and The Civil wars. It suits the movie version of the book. Hope this gives The Civil Wars a nice boost because they deserve it.
Has been on repeat for 3 days now. I love the dark, haunting feel it has. Somehow this combo Taylor Swift/The Civil Wars really works. Taylor is listed first in the credits so i am guessing she had quite a big part in creating this. Although the composition it more similar to The Civil Wars usual style.
Stunning song to me. Love the sound and love all the voices in it. No matter how much Taylor did or didn't have a hand in the lyrics or melody, I wish she would go this direction in her future albums. And I'm so glad the Civil Wars will get exposure and recognition for this, they are wonderful. I'd really like to see a couple of well-thought out reviews for this song on this and other blogs, as for me it is one of the very best songs of 2011 from any mainstream artist, and stacks up well vs. alt-country and roots.
