December, 22, 2011 Dec 2211:09AM ETEmail Print Comments By Craig HaubertMissouri had to sweat it out, but they were able to regain their biggest commitment. Evan Boehm (Lee's Summit, Mo./West), who had committed to the in-state Tigers over the summer but decided to open things back up this fall, has announced that he is back on board with Mizzou.

Boehm, the No. 1 rated guard in the 2012 class, is once again is a big pick-up for Missouri. The ESPNU 150 prospect is one of the most versatile lineman in this class. He projects to guard, but has experience at center and, if needed in a pinch, could step in and play tackle and be productive. So he not only gives you a quality player at one position, but can also offer good depth to your line.

A coach's son, he plays the game well exhibiting good technique for a prospect at his level as both a run and pass blocker. He displays good flexibility, balance, and agility and is able to come off the ball and quickly get into defenders and roll his hips and deliver a pop and knock them back. He also does a nice job of being able to get up to that second level and locate and get a hat on defenders on the move. He also displays good toughness and aggressiveness as a blocker.

We think the Under Armour All-American is once again an excellent pick-up for Mizzou as he addresses a need, is again a key in-state keep, and most importantly is a very good prospect.

December, 22, 2011 Dec 2210:58AM ETEmail Print Comments By Tom LuginbillIt is no surprise that new Washington State head coach Mike Leach gets right to work and the fact that it is an offensive weapon isn?t all that surprising either. Four-star wide receiver Alex Jackson (Culver City, Calif.), now the Cougars' top-rated commit, is an under-the-radar speed threat that can pressure a defense off the line of scrimmage with his rapid acceleration and ability to eat up cushion. In an offense where the slot receiver is asked to do a lot, Jackson is an ideal fit and hopefully for WSU fans is a sign of things to come.

December, 22, 2011 Dec 2210:53AM ETEmail Print Comments By Craig HaubertStanford, whose top 25 class is being built with prospects from all over the country, added a commitment from a four-star offensive lineman out of Minnesota Wednesday.

Nick Davidson (Eden Prairie, Minn.), the No. 3 rated player in the state, is an offensive tackle with good size and athleticism. A strong pass blocker he can set quickly, bend and slide his feet and is very good with his hands. He also possesses the tools be a very productive run blocker. He needs to work to keep his pads down, but the big man flashes good initial quickness and leg drive to be able to get into defenders and create running lanes and also displays some nastiness as a blocker.

December, 22, 2011 Dec 2210:45AM ETEmail Print Comments Fresh off their victory in the 2011 Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl, the Thundering have added two more commitments, Rivals.com reports.

December, 22, 2011 Dec 2210:45AM ETEmail Print Comments Heavily-recruited New Mexico Military Institute (Roswell, N.M.) offensive tackle Daniel Glauser has signed with Florida State, according to a release issued by the school's official site. The 6-foot-6, 320-pounder committed to the Seminoles earlier this month.

"David is a 'tweener' - he can play linebacker or safety. He's very athletic, can cover one-on-one. He's also a very smart kid; family's important to him."

December, 22, 2011 Dec 229:58AM ETEmail Print Comments Coach Art Briles and Baylor received letters of intent from two junior college prospects Wednesday, according to a release on the school's official site. Riverside (Calif.) Community College linebacker Eddie Lackey and Navarro College (Corsicana, Texas) defensive tackle Joey Searcy should be ready to participate in spring practice.

"These are two quality individuals aside from being really good football players," Briles said. "The thing we always look for with junior college players is whether they are a fit and Eddie and Joey both fit needs for us defensively, and we're excited for them to join the Baylor football program. The main thing will be that both of them will be on campus for the spring semester."

Lackey, a 6-foot-1, 220-pound prospect from Murrieta, Calif., originally committed to Hawaii before switching to Baylor early this month. He made an official visit to campus on December 2nd. New Mexico State also offered. Lackey attended Div. II Northwood University (Mich.) prior to Riverside CC.

He did not qualify but remained committed to the Golden Panthers while attending the Atlanta (Ga.) Sports Academy.

December, 22, 2011 Dec 229:25AM ETEmail Print Comments Head coach Lane Kiffin has announced the signings of Norco (Calif.) High School outside linebacker Scott Starr and Santa Monica (Calif.) High School offensive tackle Chad Wheeler, according to a release on the University's official site. Both players will graduate from high school early, enroll at USC in January, and participate in spring practice.

Starr, a 6-foot-2, 230-pound four-star prospect who committed in May, registered more than 200 tackles and eight sacks over the course of the last two seasons. The 6-foot-6, 265-pound Wheeler, a three-star, originally committed to Arizona State before switching to USC in September.

The high school pair joins two junior college players who also signed with the Trojans; Pierce College (Woodland Hills, Calif.) safety Gerald Bowman and Diablo Valley Community College (Pleasant Hill, Calif.) defensive end Morgan Breslin, a UCLA decommitment.

Kiffin commented on those signings, "We are thrilled to add both Gerald and Morgan into our program in January. Gerald was the nation's No. 2-rated junior college player and we look forward to him making an impact on our team over the next two years. Morgan's last-minute decision to change to USC was very critical to us because Nick Perry left early to go to the NFL. After an extremely productive two-year junior college career, he will raise the competition level on our defensive line."
