Sister Wives

New state, bigger family, same drama baby. On the Season 3 premiere of Sister Wives, Kody Brown and his many spouses settled in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The biggest development since we last heard from the giant family is that Kody and Robyn are expecting. That leads to complications with the other wives, of course, such as the jealousy from Robyn's BFF Meri, who can't bear more kids.

Robyn approached her about it personally, however, and Meri showed her true colors like the classy lady that she is. She even lamented in her response that people feel they have to be so sensitive to her regarding the child-bearing topic.

Everybody in the family was pretty psyched about the news, save for teenagers Aspen, Hunter and Maddie. You know teenagers, though. Always brooding.

Since Robyn's three kids have a different father, this is really her first with Kody Brown, and a big step in terms of being indoctrinated into the family unit.

Finding a new church where you fit in is kinda hard when you move states, as the Browns likely did in no small part due to threat of prosecution in Utah.

They debate joining a Presbyterian Church, but after differing views and much discussion, Cody agrees that going to another faith is not the right answer.

Kody says if they're going to do this, it needs to be an LDS church. Kody worried about the same discrimination they found in Utah. The wives? Skeptical.

Robyn in particular was strongly against not steering kids into the religion they work so hard to practice. Are they being forced into polygamy, though?

Things end on a happy note as Christine throws a pool party for the teenagers and their friends from school. The kids seem more or less cool with everything.

Even a few of the parents come over, so maybe things will turn out well moving to Nevada after all. We'll find out as Sister Wives' third season continues!

Donna he is actually married to all of them or he wouldnt be under prosecution for polygamy. if he was only married to one person then the other three women would just be extra sex partners and child bearers and the state couldnt do anything. plus there is NO sex before marriage in the LDS religion so no one but meri would be having congical bliss.

I have become a huge fan of this show! I have been married to the same man for 21 yrs(23 yrs together), and I am not the sharing type..LOL. However, I do think that CONSENTING adults should be allowed to live as they please. I agree that some polygamist unions or community are abusive and far beyond healthy, but there are some who treat each other with respect and understanding. Not sure Kody is an actual polygamist in the sense he is only married to 1, Meri. He is a dictator, in fact, if I could I would say the wives generally run the household. They are all independent women and I am astounded at the well rounded children considering the media has only shown us the bad side of living such. I commend Kody and his "wives". Look at how many men in this country have impregnated multiple women and do nothing for their care, upkeep, or just being a father who is there 24-7. The states pay for their living, at the very least Kody is providing for his family along with his "wives" in a consenting, loving, respectful way. Many blessings to his family. I may not find this a situation I would myself go into, but I must respect the family unit. And what a wonderful, loving family unit it is.

I totally agree that adults should be able to make up their own minds about how they will live their lives. I watch this show, and I see people who are treating their children well, and who are basically happy, or at least as happy as most people I meet, from any lifestyle.

Disclaimer: I am also a sister wife, so I am a bit biased. I am not a fundamentalist Mormon, though, and I don't have any kids, and I wasn't raised to think this was what I had to do with my life, so there are a lot of differences. If you are interested, I have started blogging about it, at www.polygrrl.com.

I love this show!! I am a one man woman myself but its their choice to share their husband. I love Robyn she is so sweet and compassionate towards others and very tender hearted.they have problems like we all do but they all seem to love eachother and other than Hunter the kids all seem happy.

Also, does this guy work to support this group or ... other than this gig, how do they get $$$ keep roofs over everyone's heads and food in everyone's bellies?

is it just me, or do you think there might be a second baby on the way? Maybe it is the angle, but Christine looks like she my be adding their family, too!

Sisterwives is like the traim wreck you cant stop watching. Bottom line you can be for it or against it but you just cant stop watching. Personally im totaly against it its the samething as hes cheating on eachone of them, and there so damn dumb they let him. When you love someone you have no need or desire tl be with s Leone eles and if you do its not love.

I started watching this show out of boredom, then quickly became interested in the family. I agree in my optopn it is not Biblically correct. But, it is a way of life all over the world. Think for one second...just because we(you or I) wouldn't live like that, doesn't mean it is wrong for them. They appear to have alot of healthy children. (If their given the choice to leave that life style)

That would be great to have 3 sister wives. one can cook, one can clean, and one can go to work. If I am lucky, my husband would be to tired for any action- since he already has 3 other wives.

Thank you all for sharing similar opinions! Even as a man if a woman wanted to take multiple husbands "Brother Husbands...as mentioned before" then so be it. lol They all work hard to build a relationship and yes it will has it's ups and downs but what relationship doesn't? I am sure jealousy does come into play a lot of times, I am not the jealous though. And would it really be considered an "affair...as mentioned" when they all entered into the relationship knowing what they were getting into. It clearly shown that it is not a secret life from each wife all the wives interact together. To me they have better communication than most married couples in the world. They are open and honest as for as we can tell from the show. There are not many people that are open and honest in the world....just a few more of my comments....and thanks again for those of who agreed.... :-)
