Shannon Brown isn?t enjoying his time in Phoenix these days, as he has fallem out of Suns head coach Alvin Gentry?s rotation. Brown expressed his frustration to the AZ Republic: ?Brown signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the thought that the opportunity to play would increase his value. Instead, Brown fell out of the rotation to make room for Michael Redd just as the Suns began playing better. ?It?s very frustrating sitting on the bench,? Brown said. ?I?ve put my time in. I?ve earned my stripes. I?ve been through the fire. I know I can play this game. That?s the only thing keeping me positive. It?s not like I can?t do something. I can knock down big shots. I?ve done that. I won?t hate on nobody. I want to see the team successful. It?s just tough for me to sit on the bench, day in and day out, knowing I can help the team.? Brown averaged a career-high 9.0 points per game in 22 games entering Monday night but was shooting 39 percent, his worst shooting since he played 21 games for two teams in 2007-08. Brown has not been out of the rotation like this since December 2008, when he did not play in nine consecutive games for Charlotte. Brown said coach Alvin Gentry has asked him to stay ready.?

Shannon Brown is dope. He should have stayed in LA. I hope everything goes well for him or he gets sent to a team that will utilize him properly. He could easily be a 20 per game scorer.

maybe stop shooting long 2?s moron. why the hell would Gentry play someone who dribbles into a terrible shot every time he catches the ball. You catch and shoot, drive, or pass. Not catch, dribble, pull-up 20 footer in a guys face. Especially if your only playing 15-20 minutes a night. Use your brain.

You shouldn?t have left the Lakers. Or you should have went to a Team like the Nets like your old bench buddy if you wanted more PT.

the lakers would be way better if they had farmar, vujacic, brown and odom. I remember once, no sorry twice, winning rings, with these dudes on the bench.

I respect Brown?s business decision. It may not have worked out for him but he went to a team thinking he?d get a lot of playing time on a year contract expecting to get a wealthy long term deal the year after. You cant expect to get more minutes than a healthy Michael Redd though, dude was a phenom in his Milwaukee days.

Brown and L.O. are the key reasons the Lakers aren?t winning games they would have won had they had Brown and L.O. These guys are key ballers every team needs (IF YOU KNOW HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF THEM! insert Phil Jack) Brown, L.O. and The Lakers are hurting from letting them go. Grass ain?

Wish we hadn?t wasted money on this guy, he?s not fitting in. would have rather we went after Tmac, AI or Arenas as cheap gunslingers.
