Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.
The asking price reflects the (remote) possibility that someone with an historical axe to grind might purchase the place...and take a wrecking ball to it. :-) No one is gonna meet that asking price...but it's a safe bet that whoever does buy it will be vetted to be certain they will maintain the historical integrity.
Beautifully detailed. The price and the styling will appeal to a pretty narrow market. Almost a shame it's not owned by an historical society and open to the public. Would be a lovely place to be married.
