FacebookDiggTwitterRedditDelicious Link OKLAHOMA CITY -- During a news conference on Tuesday at which Bethany police announced that an arrest warrant had been issued for Jimmy Lee Massey in connection with the killing of Carina Saunders, Police Chief Phil Cole also revealed a second person of interest in the case.
Massey had already been booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on drug trafficking warrants back on Nov. 5. He allegedly told police that he kidnapped a woman who was standing in the street, blindfolded her with some type of dark handkerchief and forced her to witness the torture and murder of Saunders, court documents revealed.
Massey also identified the victim, who is not being named as a precautionary measure, in a physical lineup, according to court documents.
The witness stated that she didn't know the victim but later recognized her from the television as Carina Saunders. The victim said she was given a message to relay to her associates that "this is what happens to people who don't cooperate," according to court documents.
The victim also stated she was forced into the room because the group of suspects in the room was sending a message -- that she and her associates would help this other group with its human trafficking operation or this same fate would happen to her, court documents revealed.
