Margiotta blasts the Rev. Barber, others for their part in disrupting Wake school board meetings.

Former Wake County school board chair Ron Margiotta has called for a tough stance against the Rev. William Barber, Tim Tyson and the Rev. Nancy Petty for disrupting Wake County Board of Education meetings, and the NAACP has responded, ?We have better things to do this season.?
In a letter to submitted to news organizations, including NBC-17, Margiotta wrote, ?The actions of Barber, Tyson, Petty and the others were not simple acts of civil disobedience or disruption.
?During the time designated for public comment, these individuals shut down the public's business, refused to leave the podium, used offensive language and ultimately crossed security barriers to physically take over the seats of the elected school board members. The safety of the board as well as of those in the audience was threatened.?
But the NAACP, in a response emailed to the media Monday, said, ?Regardless of how the court adjudicates and the disposition of these cases, the NAACP and its allies have better things to do than respond to Mr. Margiotta's bitterness during this Christmas season.?
