This past weekend saw our biggest and littlest dogs finding new homes. That's Rudy above, a 100-plus pound White Shepherd mix. We originally received Rudy from a home where one of the children turned out to be allergic to him. He then found a home with someone who has since run into a series of economic setbacks. Last week the man who adopted Rudy received an anonyous email from someone who forwarded Rudy's picture. Rudy and his new humans met and that was it.
We also have a couple pending adoptions. A slow weekend, but we're pleased with what we did. And I've welcomed a couple new foster parents. That's always good news.
We continue to raise money for Abby, the senior shepherd mix who has had a series of medical problems. I wrote about her in my last blog. We now have a "Chip In" set up for anyone who wants to help us with her veterinary bills. We do appreciate it.....and need the help. Here's the link:
And now I've off to take another of our dogs to see a veterinary specialist. It never ends, does it? We don't seek out "expensive" dogs but some of them sure do find us.
