The Atlanta Falcons turned some heads in this year?s NFL Draft by aggressively moving up and acquiring the Cleveland Browns first-round pick in order to draft WR Julio Jones. The Falcons had to give up substantial draft picks in order to get Jones. They surrendered their 27th, 59th and 124th pick in 2011 and surrendered their first and fourth-round pick in 2012. Atlanta thought that Jones was going to get the Falcons to the next level. After three weeks, did the Falcons give up too much for Jones?
The Falcons are now 1-2, losing both of their games on the road and were able to salvage a comeback win over the Philadelphia at home in week two after knocking Michael Vick out of the game. The Falcons look now as if they needed more than Julio Jones to get to the next level.
