The two will join Aziz Ansari, Drake, and Wanda Sykes in voicing Ice Age's various animal characters. Renner will portray Gutt, "a self-styled master of the high seas," and Lopez will play Shira, a sabre-toothed tiger. They join previous cast members Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, Denis Leary, John Leguizamo, Seann William Scott, and Josh Peck. [HR]

Thank you for alerting us to a possible problemMemo2SelfThis is why I hate celebrity voice casting in animated films. A year ago neither one of them would have been considered for a voice role, no matter how talented they were. They just wouldn't have been asked. Now Lopez is on magazine covers again and Renner is racking up franchise after franchise -- NOW they can be put over the title (as if ANYONE is saying "Oooh, Jennifer Lopez and Drake are doing the voices! NOW I'll go see it!"). Grrrrrr.
