The Yankees have already clinched home field advantage, so do they rest half of their lineup for the simple enjoyment of watching the Red Sox earn their place in the playoffs on their own or simply proceed business-as-usual? Whatever happens, it would be fun for all if this one ended up coming down to the final game of the season.

That was my thought too? I mean the Yankees delayed the game Friday early to help out the Sox and get them rest. They rested starters, and used their bullpen in a way as to give the Sox every chance to win the games (though it?s unclear if that is just a normal every game occurrence for Girardi)? and they still lost 2 of 3.

I do feel kind of good for Bills fans though? no ill will to that team, and was really glad they gave Fitzpatrick a full year.
