Ever since ?Linsanity? took over the New York Knicks and the NBA, there?s been a fear by some fans and media that when Carmelo Anthony returns to the lineup, the magic will fade away. Both ?Melo and Jeremy Lin have pooh-poohed the theory (as have most reasonable observers.) Here?s the latest, via the NY Post: ?Lin, who has sparked the Knicks? current seven-game winning streak and is the talk of the town, also credited Anthony for telling coach Mike D?Antoni to give the undrafted Harvard guard a chance. ?I?ve been hearing reports ?Can Jeremy coexist with ?Melo?? and this and that, and I?m just confused because he?s the one who vouched for me in the first place,? Lin said on WFAN?s ?Boomer and Carton Show? this morning. ?You know we want to play together, and we want to work together and we?re buying into that. Some people are calling ?Melo selfish and [saying that] he doesn?t buy into the team, and that?s just tough for anyone to hear, especially when we don?t think it?s true.? [...] Lin went further to debunk the speculation surrounding the team?s chemistry and the potential pitfalls that may arise when Anthony returns from injuries. The All-Star forward is expected back either Friday against the Hornets or Sunday against the Mavericks. ?The guy gives me advice all the time. I look up to him. He?s a leader on this team, a captain, we need him out there, and we?re excited to have him back,? Lin said. ?Melo has been saying the same thing to me too and telling me, ?When I come back, you?ve got to be aggressive; we?re going to play off each other.? hahahahahahahahhahahhahhahaha, i appreciate lin?s modesty but looking up to a dude who does not play defense and when they lose blames everyone but him, has probably not won seven in a row since he was in denver. this is best laugh of day!
Carmelo plays defense when he wants to, and why does everyone put such a high premium on star scorers playing D? Derrick Rose doesn?t really stand out defensively, he is a decent positional defender as well? Carmelo only got ticked because Lin hit the game winner.. when Melo comes back everyone knows who is taking that last shot.
Hey SLAM, why haven?t you posted a story yet on AI being broke as dishes and squandering away 154M in earnings? Oh, and refusing to go to the D-League when the Lakers asked him to? idk why everyone is worried about Melo fitting in with Lin. Melo played with Iverson, had his best scoring season with Iverson. He will definitely be able to play with Jeremy Lin. The question is, can Lin stay in rhythm and aggressive once they add Melo, not the other way around.
Think about it, melo doesn?t have to TRY to be a point foward anymore, far less ISO?s and more dishing and swishing , the Knicks are gonna be serious when melo gets back? Haters shall hate, but trust me, melo is a humble dude and will play into his new found role very well.

Alotta NYC fans getting exposed in the last week or so. Last year they were foaming at the mouth to get Melo, now they question whether he?s compatible with Shoa-Lin and are scrutinizing his role on the team.
People may have forgotten or aren?t aware of how Melo and Gerry McNamara had chemistry. Very similar type of player to Lin. You may remember the end results though. While Melo might not be considered an all around player like Bron, he is the most potent pure scorer bowing only to Durant. The Knicks will be so much more dangerous with him back. Him being somewhat hurt, which I think has been obvious all season, will in a way help them team wise. Fields and Novak will keep getting some burn. Walker has been somewhat disappointing though. This is a perfect fit for Carmelo. It?s amazing how fickle NY fans are, always need to throw some guy under the bus. Happens to be the guy who?s hurt and on the bench. Shame!!!!
