Bennett Raglin, Getty ImagesUpdate (ET Online): Bobby Brown released the following statement to ET Online: "My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions. I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi Kristina. In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. My children are completely distraught over the events. This was a day to honor Whitney. I doubt Whitney would have wanted this to occur. I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how."

Security guards were saying Brown would be seated but the people he arrived with had to sit apart from him. Instead, Brown left and appeared upset.

Houston and Brown were married 15 years and have one daughter. In 2003, police responding to a domestic violence call about Brown found Houston with a cut lip and bruised cheek. Their tumultuous relationship ended in 2007.

Boo Hoo Bobby Brown couldnt sit with the entourage he bought with him to Whitney's funeral. He should have been by his daughters side instead of showing up late with a group of people. Once again he acts like the Jerk he is! Thanks Bobby your class really showed!

The whole problem started when the person in charge of seating did not make proper seating for him and at least one other guy next to his daughter.....it was premeditated and it back-lashed, and now we have this story - Does anyone actually think that Bobbi K did NOT want her father next to her? Really??

I SAY I'M GLAD HE GOT REMOVED FROM THERE HE DIDN'T DESERVE TO BE THERE. HE'S THE MAIN CAUSE OF HER BEING WHERE SHE IS NOW. HE NEVER HELPED HER GET HELP. LOOK AT HIM NOW SHE LOST HER VOICE WITH NO COME BACK ON THAT SO HE'S GONE. WAHT A LOOSER HE IS SHAME ON YOU BOBBY.

Guess it's all about you Bobby. You sure helped her a lot drugs and liquor . She's dead and like the typical addicted person you are concerned with where you sit.

You are so right! If she had married any one of her past boyfriends besides that loser..she would not have been enabled. He supported that horrible lifestyle and even though it was her choice, others in her life were not addicted to harmful substances and were not in and out of jail. He is garbage. According to the Mayor of Newark, he showed up with an entourage and he wanted them all to be seated together, since they could not be accommodated he got mad..he should have sat quietly to support his daughter and told all of the others besides his children to go home.It was not about him.

What Bobby maybe doesn't understand is that everyone saw Whitney as a good girl until she met him. Then she became vulgar, an addict, a sex fiend and a person none of us recognized after she married him. Now he is the one everyone blames for her downfall, and probably rightly so. Of course, she was responsible for herself, but you cannot help but wonder what would have been different if she had never met him in the first place.
