As training camps start to begin around the NFL, Fantasy Football leagues will be quickly forming all across the country in preparation of their league?s draft. If you ever played in a Fantasy Football league before, then you should know the importance of the draft and the pre-draft ranking system. This system is set up for you, the fantasy team owner, to rate the players that you want on your team the most before the draft begins. Most fantasy football leagues have an automatic draft that the computer simulates without the owner present. The computer will choose players for your team based on your pre-draft rankings. It?s important that you use the pre-draft ranking system to get the NFL players that you want and need for your team to be successful.

The quarterback is an important position to your fantasy football league team. However, regardless of the skills your favorite QB possesses, he still may not be a good fit for your team. When choosing a quarterback, there are some things that you should know about the team that he plays on. You should find out what kind of scheme does the offense run. Is the offense a run-oriented offense or a pass-oriented offense? In fantasy football leagues, you receive points for passing yards and passing touchdowns that your signal caller makes. How good is the team around the quarterback? The offensive line could be suspect; not allowing the QB enough time to throw the ball. The receivers may be incompetent and unable to make the clutch catches. Look at the stats of all the quarterbacks from previous years to see how productive they have been. Also, you should research on any injuries that a quarterback may have had from the previous season.
