49ers vs Saints
The 49ers and Saints released their inactive lists and there are no surprises. It's kind of a shame Shawntae Spencer will not get to play in his first postseason game, but injuries and the performance of Tarell Brown and Chris Culliver have shot them past him on the depth chart. Barring an agreement on a new contract, I doubt Spencer is around next season.
Delanie Walker is indeed sidelined, but hopefully there will be extra reason to re-assess his jaw in a couple days. We'll have our first game thread in about an hour, but in the meantime, enjoy yourself and continue to get psyched. It's a gorgeous day at the Stick and while that benefits the Saints offense to some extent, I'll take a gorgeous game day any day of the week. I'll be tweeting throughout the game on @ninersnation.

Yup I was telling my friend yesterday (Giants fan) how much I?d love to see them again next week. I mean we all know what happened last time we played the Giants, in the playoffs, at the Stick.

The niner?s improvement this year over last reminds me of the change in the Saints in ?06 compared to ?05. In both cases, the change was lead by a new talented coach.
