2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit
Between New York Fashion Week, Valentine?s Day and the release of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, we?ve been experiencing a bit of a sensory overload this week. While it seems like the iconic SI issue is about anything but the swimsuits, given that this is a fashion website, we dove headfirst into the pages to bring you some of the more substantial, erm, bits of the swimwear.
Of course, we have to show the cover: Kate Upton in the obligatory itsy bitsy teenie weenie bikini by Suit Yourself Bikinis, a unique design concept by Kathleen Bruening that offers customizable, hand sewn swimwear. Top right: Jessica Perez sports a trendy scarf print by Brazilian label TeenyB Bikini Couture. Bottom right: Ariel Meredith struts it in the streets in a festive beaded bikini by Maui Girl.
From left to right: Our favorite flame-haired beauty Cintia Dicker in a forward scoop-neck suit by Rebecca Virtue. Izabel Goulart models a lively neon update on traditional crochet by Anna Kosturova. Michelle Vawer dons one of our favorites from the issue, a minimalist monokini by Ola Vida. Last year?s cover model Irina Shayk shows her wild side in a sizzling cheetah monokini, also by Rebecca Virtue.
